10 Red Potatoes
2 tbsp of Olive Oil
2 tsp of Paprika
2 tsp of Montreal Steak Spice (Or any other steak spice)
2 Garlic cloves
4 branches of chopped Chives
Add Salt and Pepper to taste

Preparation The Night Before:

  1. In a bowl, mix the spices, brown sugar and the Salt and Pepper like so:
  2. Cover all the surface of your Rib-Eyes with the rub.
  3. Next, wrap your steaks in Saran Wrap and refrigerate it for about 24 hours. Take your steaks out 30 minutes to an hour before cooking so that the meat gets to room temperature.
  4. In a different bowl, mix all the ingredients of your Taboule Salad and refrigerate it for 24 hours at the same time as your steaks. This will marry all the flavors together for your amazing and refreshing middle eastern salad.

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Preheat your BBQ on high heat.
  3. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for your red potatoes.
  4. In a pan that can be used to bake in the oven, at medium heat, add some Olive Oil and your seasoned red potatoes.
  5. Pan-fry the red potatoes for about 5 minutes or when they become golden, then insert them in the oven for another 15 minutes or until they are tender.
  6. While your red potatoes arein the oven, put your Steaks on the BBQ and cook them until you get to Medium-Rare temperature/ Cooking time here can vary with the thickness of the Steak.
  7. For a Steak with about a thickness of 1 inch – 1 1/4 inches, on the heat, would take about 7 minutes each side for 14 total minutes of cooking to get to Medium-Rare temperature.

For all the meat lovers that follow this blog, this meal will make you forget what Filet Mignon is. Tender, juicy and flavourful is the exact definition this meal deserves.

Bon appetit.
